Separated from Estaque by abrupt mountains that one crosses by a tunnel, the village of Rove is the obliged passage when one leaves Marseilles by the West. The road avoids the village which seems very distant from the sea. But a road leads towards the creeks of La Vesse and Niolon, which face Marseilles and in the islands of the archipelago of the Frioul.
Located at the bottom of a wild small valley, La Vesse is a harbour of tranquility, from where one can dream by observing the movements of the white steamers which animate the harbour of Marseilles. |
